STOPGAP 1500
High Performance, Water-Mix Smoothing Compound
STOPGAP 1500 is a fast setting, fast drying, water-mix smoothing compound suitable for preparing sound internal subfloors before installing new floorcoverings. You can easily apply it directly over old adhesive residues such as bitumen and carpet tile tackifiers without the need to prime.

Substrates: waterproof surface membranes, screed, concrete, plywood, steel, ceramic and quarry tiles.
Floor Coverings: Vinyl, ceramic, carpet & wood flooring.
Application thickness:
- Unfilled – 2- 10mm
- Filled- up to 30mm
Coverage:
- 5m2 at 2-3mm
- 2.5m2 at 5mm
- 1.3m2 at 10mm
- 0.5m2 at 30mm
Packaging: 20kg
Consumption per mm thickness: 1.53 kg/m2
Mixing:
- 5.0 litres of water per bag (up to 10mm)
- Filled Mix – Add 12.5kg of STOPGAP GRADED AGGREGATE to the prepared standard mix. It is advisable to reduce the level of water to 4.75 litres to prevent separation of the mix.
Working Time: 15 – 20 minutes
Time to foot traffic:From 60 minutes
Ready to receive flooring: From 4 hours
